Last Updated 21 April 2018, 15:06 IST

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal and senior Congress Leaders on Saturday launched CM Talks, India's First Augmented Reality Political Campaign App.

The app allows users to point at a poster and watch messages from Siddaramaiah. The interactive app will enable users to have a closer interaction with the party, the Congress claimed.

At the event, AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal said, "The CM Talks App is an endeavour to combine the technological prowess of Karnataka with the CM’s wish to connect more effectively with the people of the state."

People will be able to learn about the schemes launched by the Congress government on a first-hand basis through the app.

The move came a day after BJP announced its third list of candidates for the upcoming Karnataka assembly election.

During the launch, Siddaramaiah said,"We will use the CM Talks Campaign App to ensure the development done by our Government reaches people.”

Talking about the upcoming election the CM said, "BJP and Yeddyurappa are living in a dream world. Congress will win Karnataka with a big majority."

Congress seems to be pretty confident about its position for the upcoming election as K C Venugopal said at the event “Some surveys are predicting a hung assembly. I want to categorically state that we are absolutely sure that Congress will win more than 130 seats and secure a majority."

"There is a big demand from North Karnataka for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to contest from there. I have been getting thousands of calls from workers. There are reports that Mr Yeddyurappa will contest against him. We welcome this step as it will help the INC win,” he added.
