<p>Veteran politician Sharad Yadav's daughter Subhashini Yadav on Wednesday joined Congress and is likely to be fielded as a candidate in the upcoming Bihar Assembly election.</p>.<p>Subhashini, a social worker, is likely to bag the ticket from the Bihariganj Assembly seat and carry on the political legacy of her father, who is the patron of Loktantrik Janata Dal. Sharad Yadav is not actively taking part in the Bihar elections, as he is not well. He has always supported the 'Mahagathbandhan'. It is my responsibility to take this fight forward and to take Bihar to greater heights," Subhashini said.</p>.<p>Earlier, a statement by Subhashini on Yadav's hospitalisation had also triggered speculation about Yadav's political moves. Subhashini had specifically thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for keeping in touch with the family and checking on Yadav's health.</p>.<p>Veteran LJP leader and former MP Kali Prasad Pandey also joined the Congress. </p>.<p>He said it was a homecoming for him as he had earlier extended support to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1984 when he was an independent MP in Lok Sabha. "This is my old home and I am happy to be back to my old home," he said.</p>
