Actor Malavika Mohanan took to Instagram on Thursday (March 4) to share a few Behind the Scenes (BTS) photos from the shoot of her latest film Master. In the pictures, she is seen alongside her co-star Kollywood star Vijay. The Petta star penned a note, stating that the film gave her 'lifelong friends' and plenty of 'cherished memories'.

Master was directed by noted filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and marked Malavika's first collaboration with the mass hero. The film revolved around the journey of a rowdy professor, played by 'Thalapathy', and proved to be a feast for the common man.

It hit the screens during Pongal and emerged as a big hit at the box office despite releasing at a time when theatres were operating at 50 percent capacity to ensure social distancing. The film had an impressive cast that included Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das and Nassar. 'Makkal Selvan' played the villain in Master and impressed fans with his work.

The general perception is that the response to the biggie has established Lokesh as a force to be reckoned with as it was his second consecutive hit with an established actor. He had previously directed the Karthi-starrer Kaithi, which did well despite facing competition from Bigil.

Malavika, meanwhile, is working on a film with Dhanush. The film is being referred to as D 43 and may prove to be a game-changer for her. She is also set to return to Bollywood with Yudhra, co-starring Gully Boy actor Siddhanth Chaturvedi.

Vijay, on the other hand, is working on Thalapathy 65 that will mark his first collaboration with Kolamavu Kokila director Nelson Dilipkumar. The film is backed by Sun Pictures and reportedly features an unconventional plot. The film was to be directed by star filmmaker AR Murugadoss but things didn't work out. Vijay may collaborate with Atlee, the director of popular films such as Mersal and Bigil, for Thalapathy 66 in the near future.
