Noted film maker Karan Johar, who is releasing the Hindi version of the sequel to Baahubali tweeted stating that the first day for the movie has been unthinkable and unimaginable. "UNTHINKABLE and UNIMAGINABLE HIGHEST EVER DAY 1....data being tabulated ..will take a while!!! Watch this space for the number! #Baahubali," Johar tweeted.

According to reports, the Telugu version of the film netted Rs 53 crore in Andhra and Telangana while it collected around Rs 12 crore on the first day in Tamil Nadu.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is the sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning. The movie stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Satyaraj and  Ramya Krishnan and is directed by SS Rajamouli. According to Wikipedia, both parts were jointly produced on a budget of Rs 250 crore, however the budget of the second part was increased later and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has made a business of Rs 500 crore  before release itself.
