People will handle 'Thug Life' and other controversies: Kamal Haasan breaks silence on Kannada vs Tamil row

While busy on a promotional tour for his upcoming film Thug Life, the Vinveli Nayagan Kamal Haasan, visited God’s Own Country, Kerala, for the special screening of the documentary on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, produced by the Kerala Secretariat Employees Association.

Kamal Haasan also participated in a press meet where he interacted with media and promoted his upcoming movie Thug Life. Looking sharp in a yellow blazer, Kamal spoke length breadth about the movie and also narrated his reunion with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam.

Thug Life marks the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after nearly four decades—the duo previously worked together in Nayakan back in 1987.

At the press meet, Kamal also addressed the ongoing language issue and said, “What I said was said out of love, and a lot of historians have taught me language history. I didn't mean anything.”

He also said that politicians aren't qualified enough to speak on matters of language. They don't have the education enough to talk about it, including him.

The makers of Thug Life are leaving no stone unturned with the movie promotion, and after doing multi-city promotional tour in India, the cast flies to Dubai for a special event over the weekend.

With Mani Ratnam at the helm and AR Rahman's music, Thug Life is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5, 2025.
