Veteran filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani, who was unceremoniously removed as the Censor Board chief around a month ago, for his repeated 'sanskari' stances, is back in news again - he is distributing a movie, whose posters and trailers suggests that it could be erotic.
The film is Julie 2 and is slated to be released on 6 October.
The social media is abuzz with the posters and trailers of the forthcoming move that is "presented" by Nihalani.
The film is directed by Deepak Shivdasani and produced by Vijay Nair. It features Raai Laxmi in the lead role which marks her debut in Hindi cinema. This is the sequel to Shivdasani's earlier film Julie (2004), that starred Neha Dhupia,
Priyanshu Chatterjee, Yash Tonk, Sanjay Kapoor and Achint Kaur.
It may be recalled that on 11 August, Nihalani was removed as chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) by the Information & Broadcasting Ministry and replaced by adman-lyricist Prasoon Joshi - after repeated run ins with the film fraternity, who had complained to the government several times.

"Julie 2 should be given an ‘A’ certificate without any cuts. There is no vulgarity, obscenity or even a language problem," Nihalani was quoted saying.
