<p class="title">At least eight people were killed and five injured after a tractor-trolley fell into a gorge here on Saturday, police said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The accident took place at a T-point on the Anupshahr road in the Rajpura area, when a tractor-trolley ferrying some people from Moradabad to Aligarh fell into the gorge, Circle Officer (CO) Gunnaur Shakeel Ahmed said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Eight people were killed and five injured, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The injured were admitted to a community health centre in Rajpura for treatment, while the bodies were sent for post-mortem, the CO said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the deaths and directed officials to ensure that the injured get adequate medical treatment.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each for the kin of those killed, and Rs 50,000 each for the injured persons," an official statement issued here said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The people were going to Aligarh to sell carpets, the officer said. </p>
