Bengaluru Archbishop slams Karnataka govt’s move to survey Christian missionaries

Bengaluru Metropolitan Archbishop Peter Machado on October 17, said that the survey of Christian missionaries to check forced conversions was not a good move. “It is not necessary. I'm against forceful religion conversions. If there're some small incidents, government should surely take action,” he said. The legislature panel on backward classes and minorities welfare has asked for a survey into Christian missionaries in Karnataka in a bid to check out unauthorised ones.
