Or so it seemed when faction-ridden Congressmen reportedly clashed with each other during a party meeting here on Monday.<br /><br />A meeting of all the 27 MLAs, six MLCs and party delegates was convened at the Congress headquarters - Sadaquat Ashram - here to decide on the election of a new Bihar Congress president as well as make an appeal for elevating Rahul Gandhi as Congress president.<br /><br />The meeting, chaired by working president Kaukab Kadri, who last month replaced Bihar Congress chief Ashok Choudhary, did pass a resolution for making Rahul as party chief, but the meet was reportedly marred by fisticuffs between two factions – one supporting the former party president and the other opposed to him.<br /><br />Former Bihar Congress president Ashok Choudhary later walked out of the meeting in a huff and said some “outsiders” were trying to hijack the party.</p>
