Ranveer Allahbadia remark row: BJD MP Sasmit Patra to take up issue in parliamentary standing committee on Communication and IT

'I want there to be stricter guidelines and stricter measures for such disparaging remarks,' Patra said.

BJD MP Sasmit Patra said on Tuesday that he will be taking up the issue of derogatory comments by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on a show in the parliamentary standing committee on Communication and IT.

"It is extremely unfortunate and as a member of the Parliamentary standing committee on Communication and IT, which also has broadcasting as part of it," Patra said in an interview with ANI.

"I am going to take up this matter in the committee since we are going to meet shorty for demand for grants. I want there to be stricter guidelines and stricter measures for such disparaging remarks that are used so loosely, especially when such young impressionable minds follow such YouTubers..." he further added.
