<p>After blocking the controversial app 'Bulli Bai' for posting prominent Muslim women photos, Delhi Police on Monday sought details from the GitHub platform and Twitter about perpetrators. </p>.<p>As part of the investigation, the police approached GitHub seeking details about the developer of the 'Bulli Bai' application which is available on its platform. The police also wanted to know the intention and purpose behind the creation of such an application and its whereabouts, said an official from the Delhi Police.</p>.<p>The police have also written to Twitter for information about the account handler who first tweeted about the app. "This is to know how the person concerned came across the alleged application," said the official. <br /><strong>Also Read: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/national/west/mumbai-cyber-department-registers-fir-against-bulli-bai-app-developers-1067281.html" target="_blank">Mumbai Cyber department registers FIR against 'Bulli Bai' app developers</a></strong></p>.<p>Mumbai Cyber Crime Police also registered an FIR and is probing the matter.</p>.<p>Separately, the National Commission for Women had also written to the Delhi Police to expedite its action in the case related to the app to ensure that such crimes do not recur.</p>.<p>The Delhi Police on Saturday night registered an FIR against unknown persons following a complaint from a journalist against Bulli Bai' app. Pictures of hundreds of Muslim women including prominent personalities for "auction" on the Bulli Bai app, which received strong demand for action against culprits. </p>.<p>IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday said that the government is working with police in Delhi and Mumbai, where cases have been registered in the matter.
