<p>Promising several freebies from free laptops to subsidised education and healthcare facilities, the Gujarat Congress released its manifesto on Tuesday, roping in its most successful Chief Minister Sheila Sikshit.<br /><br /></p>.<p> The Congress wanted to send the message that it delivers what it commits hence there were CMs who were winning three successive elections.<br /><br />Releasing the manifesto, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee chief Arjun Modhwadia slammed the BJP government for ignoring farmers, minorities, healthcare facilities and small-scale industries during its rule in the state. <br /><br />Modhvadia went on to say if voted to power the state would not be for Adanis and Tatas but for common people. <br /><br />“The present regime has kept the doors of secretariat open only for industrials and shut it for common man, we will open doors for the common man,’’ said Modhvadia.<br /><br />The Congress promised it would provide free laptops and tablets to students, reduce their <br />fees and grant scholarships to minorities especially in the self financed colleges.<br /><br />The party said if voted to power, it will also implement the Sachar Committee report which advocates granting more facilities to Muslims to bring them into the mainstream.<br /><br />Dikshit, who led the Congress to a record three successive victories in Delhi assembly elections, criticised Modi-led government in Gujarat for its deteriorating law and order situation and what she termed as a misrule. <br /><br />"We never make promises which can't be fulfilled. Our manifestos are based on basic requirements of the people and it includes every section of society," she said.</p>
