. The road closed at the bridge near Mankanali village is submerged after the Gandheshwari river swelled due to incessant rainfall over past four day, in Bankura, West Bengal. The southwest monsoon advanced over south Bengal on Tuesday, covering the entire West Bengal, as the IMD forecast heavy rainfall in several parts of the state.

. Rescue operations underway after some homeless persons were trapped under a bridge due to a sudden rise in Falgu river water level owing to rainfall, in Gaya, Bihar.

The IMD issued a 'red alert' warning of heavy to very heavy rain and extremely heavy rain at isolated places in Palghar district and Ghat (hilly) areas of Nashik and Pune district. Orange alert warning of heavy rains was sounded for Thane, Raigad, Mumbai, Nashik, and Ratnagiri districts along with Ghats of Satara district.

The relative humidity was recorded at 77 percent at 8:30 am.

The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 37 degrees Celsius.

. Rains lashed parts of Himachal Pradesh triggering landslides at several places. The local Met office on Friday issued an orange warning for heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places on June 22, 23, 25 and 26.

Traffic on the Dharmshala-Chataro-Gaggal road was halted due to a landslide, and officials are currently engaged in road-clearing operations, officials said.
