<p>New Delhi: In a stern warning to the western neighbour Defence Minister <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/search?q=Rajnath%20Singh">Rajnath Singh </a>on Thursday said any misadventure by Pakistan in the Sir Creek sector in Gujarat would invite an Indian reaction so strong and decisive that it would change both history and geography.</p><p>Addressing the troops at Bhuj Military Station, Rajnath said even after 78 years of the independence, Pakistan continued to create disputes in the Sir Creek – a 96 km long tidal estuary between Rann of Kutch and Pakistan - and was expanding its military infrastructure reflecting ill-intent.</p>.'Happy that Indian forces successfully achieved all military objectives of Op Sindoor: Rajnath Singh.<p>Pointing out Islamabad’s move to expand military infrastructure in the area, he said, “If Pakistan dares to act in Sir Creek Sector, the reply will be so strong that it will change both history and geography. In 1965, the Indian Army showed courage by reaching Lahore and in 2025 Pakistan must remember that the road to Karachi also passes through the Creek.”</p> <p>He noted that even after 78 years of Independence, Pakistan attempted to create disputes over the Sir Creek Sector, despite India’s repeated efforts to resolve the issue through dialogue.</p> <p>Without elaborating on the specifics, he flagged Pakistan’s recent expansion of military infrastructure in the disputed area reflecting its ill intent. He said any misadventure by Pakistan in the Sir Creek sector would invite a decisive response.</p> <p>In the past, India and Pakistan held several rounds of talks on the Sir Creek boundary dispute, but since the last five-six years Islamabad has been boosting its military strength in the area with new battalions, coastal defence boats, assault craft with plans for more such assets.</p> <p>Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said, "Pakistan had tried to penetrate India’s defences from Leh to Sir Creek Sector, but the swift and effective counter-action of the Indian forces not only exposed the weaknesses of Pakistan’s air defence system but also sent out a clear message to the world that India can inflict heavy damage at a time, place and manner of its choosing," he said</p> <p>The Defence Minister inaugurated the Tidal Independent Berthing Facility and the Joint Control Centre (JCC), in the strategic Creek sector, the Defence Ministry said in a statement.</p> <p>The facilities will act as major enablers for integrated coastal operations while significantly enhancing joint operational capability, coastal security coordination and rapid response to any threats. He also performed Shastra Puja on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami.</p> <p>The minister along with Gen Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff; Dhiraj Seth, GOC Southern Army Command; Lt Gen Aditya Vikram Singh Rathee, Corps Commander, 12 Corps and Air Commodore KPS Dham, Chief of the Air Force Station Bhuj spent two days at the Gujarat military base that played a key role in the 1971 war and in the 1999 Kargil conflict.</p>
