<p>In a fresh incident of communal violence in Gurugram, an Iman was killed when a mosque was attacked by a mob even as police imposed a curfew in Nuh after Monday’s flare-up which has so far claimed five lives including two cops. The Gurugram attack was reported from Sector-57, police said, leading to the death in the clashes triggered by attempts to stop the Vishwa Hindu Parishad yatra in Nuh. </p>.<p>Tension prevailed in three NCR towns including Gurugram, Nuh, and Faridabad, with fresh violence being reported from Sohna. In Gurugram’s Badshahpur, meat shops were attacked and four eateries and scrap shops were set ablaze in Sector 66 as over 200 men in different vehicles carrying petrol bottles set them on fire. Curfew was imposed in Nuh as the situation remained tense, and security was needed up in Sector 57 in Gurugram. </p>.<p>To control the situation, the Haryana government has sought the Centre’s assistance with Additional Chief Secretary (Home), TVSN Prasad asking for 20 companies of the Rapid Action Force “urgently” for a week from July 31 in a communication to the union home secretary. In response, the union home ministry said it is dispatching 15 additional companies of central forces to Haryana. </p>.<p>Vij said that the violence was pre-planned and that the situation is under control now. “The situation in Nuh is under control and a curfew has been imposed in the district...Both communities have been staying in Nuh peacefully for a long time. There is a conspiracy behind this. The way stones, weapons, bullets were found, it seems there is a mastermind behind this. We will conduct a detailed investigation and take strict actions against the people involved in this,” Vij told <em>ANI</em>. </p>.<p>Mobile internet services will remain suspended in Nuh district till August 2, said the police and that in Sohna, Pataudi and Manesar, too, the services were suspended. Jhajjar Police took out a flag march in the town.</p>.<p>The violence, which started on Monday with a rally of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Nuh, left 23 people injured, including 10 policemen. The police has registered 11 FIRs in Nuh and detained 27 people. Over 120 vehicles were damaged during the violence.</p>
