The BJP on Monday hit out at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she has not yet visited violence-hit areas in Murshidabad as she “hates” Hindus. It also flayed the CPI (M), saying the Left party has not yet recognised two of those killed in the violence as its workers because they were Hindus. Meanwhile, as Congress defended its leader Rahul Gandhi's criticism of the Election Commission of India on foreign soil and asserted that now a days it doesn't matter from which part of the world one speaks, the BJP called him a "traitor". Congress also launched a strong defence of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, with former Union minister P Chidambaram alleging the ED was carrying out "vendetta" at the behest of its "political masters".
