A 10-ft tall statue of Lord Shiva will be unveiled during the inauguration of the renovated Hallada Rameshwara Temple on March 4, on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.
Rituals such as ‘Punyaha’, ‘Devata Nandi’, ‘Prasada Shuddhi’, ‘Mahaganapathy Pooje’, ‘Kankana Bandhana’, ‘Rakshoghna Homa’, ‘Vastu Mandali Pooje’ and ‘Kadali Chedana Kainkarya’ will be held on March 3.
While rituals like ‘Ganga Pravesha’, ‘Go Pravesha’, ‘Rudrabhisheka’ and ‘Mahaganapathy Homa’ will be held on March 4 from 7 am onwards.
A formal programme will be held at 11 am. Shankaradeva Mutt Seer Chandrashekhara Shivacharya Swami, MLA C T Ravi, MLC S L Bhoje Gowda, former MLC Gayatri Shante Gowda, City Municipal Council President Shilpa Rajashekhar and member Devaraj Shetty will take part.
Cultural programmes will be held from 6 pm onwards, according to a press release.
