<p>New Delhi: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bjp">BJP</a> Rajya Sabha MP Iranna B Kadadi on Thursday urged the Centre to issue a direction to the Karnataka govt to conduct a high-level probe into the ‘honey trap’ issue.</p><p>Raising his concerns during Zero Hour in Rajya Sabha, Kadadi said a Karnataka Cabinet Minister flagged the issue in assembly recently, alleging that a total of 45 senior political leaders were being targeted through a 'honey trap. '</p><p>The Minister's revelation was shocking, and it definitely called for urgent intervention from the Central Government, he said.</p><p>Rampant gold smuggling was happening in the state where it was said that several ministers were involved, he said. </p>.Karnataka officials hope worst forest fires over with pre-monsoon showers on the horizon.<p>Demanding the formation of a special investigation team to probe all these crimes, he also suggested the formation of a special court to try the accused.</p><p>Alleging that law and order collapsed in Karnataka, Kadadi said that despite the Karnataka High Court order in 2023 to set up National Investigation Agency Special Court in Belagavi, Mysuru and Kalburgi in six months to try organised crimes, the state government has not taken any action so far.</p><p>Karnataka witnessed several terror activities, and it has become a heaven for extremists, Kadadi alleged.</p>
