<p>On June 12, Janhavi Kshatriyas shared a video on Instagram, where she addresses her bag being stolen by a Rapido auto driver. She details the incident in her caption, and the viral video has brought up the importance to be aware of such situations. </p>.<p>A model and influencer, Janhavi had booked a Rapido auto ride, and she mentioned that the ride quickly turned into a nightmare. "The driver was staring at me repeatedly through the rear-view mirror in an uncomfortable, almost creepy way." She immediately contacted her friend through Snapchat, and let her know that her phone's battery was low. </p>.<p>She offered to pay for the ride before she reached her destination, as she did not know when her phone would switch off, which he agreed to. He, later, offered to charge her phone and the driver took it from her. </p>.<p>"He offered to charge my phone and took it in his hand, which I now regret,” she said, on her Instagram post. He even made disrespectful comments on her religion, when they crossed a Hanuman statue and she folded her hands in respect and faith. He asked her, "Are you a Hindu?" To which, she replied in confirmation, that she is. He commented, "You do not look like one." </p>.<p>In a while, she stepped out to purchase coffee powder. And when she returned, she saw the driver trying to unzip her bag, where her belongings were. She mentioned that she briefly got out, and upon learning that they do not have the powder she retraced her steps to the vehicle. </p>.<p>He was caught trying to steal, and he continued to make excuses that someone else was trying to take her bag, or he is keeping it for safety. "When I confronted him, he nervously claimed he was 'trying to move the bag behind to keep it safe' and even tried to blame a random girl nearby for trying to steal it,” Janhavi said.</p>.<p>In response to the post, Rapido put forth an apology, stating, "Hi Janhavi, we sincerely apologize on behalf of the captain for his irresponsible behavior. This is certainly not the kind of experience we strive to provide."</p>.<p>"At Rapido, customer safety is our highest priority, and we have a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of inappropriate conduct. We kindly request your patience as we investigate this matter thoroughly and provide further assistance regarding this," they commented below her post.</p>.<p>Janhavi Kshatriyas has not given any response with relation the Rapido comments yet.</p>
