A two-year-old stray dog bit and attacked 17 people before it was caught by the BBMP officials.
The incident took place at Ragigudda near Jayanagar 9th Block at around 5.30 pm on Friday.
“The BBMP officials caught the dog immediately after receiving the complaints and shifted it to Chamrajpet animal birth control centre. It was also administered with anti-rabies vaccination,” said Joint Director of Dr G Anand, BBMP Animal Husbandry Department.
“While 12 people were treated at the Jayanagar government hospital, others were taken to private hospitals,” he added.
According to the police, the victims have not registered any case till now.
