The Devil’s Tree’, written, designed and directed by Padmavathi Rao, will be staged on April 14, 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm.

It will be performed by Aantarya, Film and Theatre House at Ranga Shankara. The play is based on a folk tale from central India.

A touching and charming tale of friendship put to the test, unfolds on stage through shadow puppetry, masks and double roles woven together with fun and the joy of participation. The play explores the meaning of friendship and the lack of it when it is withheld owing to pre-conceived notions of people and who and how one’s friends should be. It questions the idea of who the real devil is. The play also tries to find out whether we value people for who they are and how we measure our success. For details, call 9845632749.
