A 5K walkathon was held on December 14 by the Students’ Council of St. Joseph’s college, in association with World Vision India and Lions Club of Bangalore Central.

The walk was to bring in awareness about ‘Swachh Bharat’ and Sexual Violence against Children and Women.

The walk began at 8 am, from the college to the Lal Bagh double Road Gate. About 400 students participated and cleaning was done on campus and outside at Nanjappa circle. A flash mob and a talk by the chief guest was held thereafter and a skit was presented by NSS related to the cause. The walk included many other students, teachers and non-teaching staff from different colleges who actively took part in the events.
