<p>Bharatiya Samagana Sabha is organising its eighth annual music festival ‘Abhijnana Thyagaraja Sangeetham’ from February 15 to 19 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The festival will be inaugurated on February 15 at 5 pm. On that day, there will be a Carnatic jugalbandi with N Ravikiran on chitravina, Shashank Subramanyam on flute, Patri Satish Kumar on mridangam and Shubhankar Banerjee on tabla at 6.30 pm. <br /><br />On February 16, there will be a Carnatic instrumental performance by Kanyakumari on violin and K V Prasad on mridangam at 10 am. In the evening, one can enjoy Carnatic vocal by Bhargavi Venkataraman at 5 pm and a Carnatic jugalbandi by P Unnikrishnan on vocal, U Rajesh on mandolin, Mysore V Srikanth on violin, Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma on mridangam and Anantha R Krishnan on tabla at 6.30 pm.<br /><br />On February 17, the Hindustani instrumental performance at 10 am will feature Rakesh Chaurasia on flute and Sandip Ghosh on tabla. At 5 pm, Vignesh Ishwar will present Carnatic vocal and at 6.30 pm, there will be a Carnatic instrumental performance featuring Kadri Gopalnath on saxophone, Vittal Ramamurthy on violin, B Harikumar on mridangam, Rajendra Nakod on tabla and B Rajashekar on morsing.<br /><br />On February 18, the morning session at 10 am will witness Hindustani vocal by Kaushiki Chakraborty. At 5 pm, there will be a Carnatic vocal duet by Anahita and Apoorva. At 6.30 pm, Abhishek Raghuram will present a Carnatic vocal performance.<br /><br />On the concluding day, Sudha Raghunathan will present Carnatic vocal at 10 am while Venkatesh Kumar will present Hindustani vocal at 11.30 am. The last performance will be a Carnatic vocal duet by Ranjani and Gayathri at 6.30 pm.<br /><br />The festival is being supported by Department of Kannada and Culture among others.</p>
