Alliance Literary Festival to be held in Bengaluru from February 13-15

Bengaluru: Alliance University is set to host the fourth edition of the Alliance Literary Festival (ALF 4.0), a three-day celebration of literature, culture, and intellectual discourse, from February 13 to 15.

Based on the theme "The Asian Century", ALF 4.0 will explore Asia’s profound influence on global culture, politics, economy, and art.

The festival boasts an impressive lineup of over 120 speakers from more than 25 countries, including renowned figures such as screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar; Japanese author Asako Yuzuki; news anchors Rajdeep Sardesai and Palki Sharma Upadhyay; cricketer Anil Kumble; Sanjay Patel, Indian-American animator and Oscar-nominated Pixar director; and author Perumal Murugan.

The festival will open with discussions on regional literature and translation, spotlighting Kannada and Tamil literary traditions, alongside a Chhau dance performance from West Bengal.

Key discussions will delve into Asia’s economic rise, the impact of Asian athletes, migration and diaspora, and pressing environmental and demographic challenges.
