<p>Bengaluru: The BBMP has published the final selection list of 12,692 candidates for the posts of pourakarmikas (municipal workers) on its on its website (https://bbmp.gov.in/home). </p>.<p>The selected candidates have to submit caste and other documents at zonal offices. </p>.<p>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah recently announced that pourakarmikas would be regularised and given appointment letters on May 1. </p>.BBMP’s audit objections surge amid lack of elected body.<p>The recruitment process for Group ‘D’ civic workers, working under direct payment within the BBMP limits, has been conducted in two phases. </p>.<p>In the first phase, 3,673 positions and in the second phase, 11,307 positions — making a total of 14,980 civic worker posts — are to be filled through direct recruitment. Out of these, as per the rules, steps have been taken to appoint 12,692 eligible civic workers, BBMP officials said. </p>.<p>For solid waste management and various cleanliness-related operations, more than 15,000 applications were received from civic workers who are working under the direct payment system (DPS) in the solid waste division. </p>
