BBMP warns of tree falls

Bengaluru: Tushar Girinath, Chief Commissioner of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Saturday requested the engineers to be on high alert as the city is expected to witness rains and gusty winds in the wake of Cyclone Fengal over the next three to four days. He also said there could be instances of tree fall owing to the increased speed of winds. 

The BBMP, he said, has put in place 28 teams to attend to the complaints of tree fall. Girinath also said precautionary measures will be taken in the flood-affected areas by deploying machinery, pumps and sandbags.
