<p>Bengaluru: After a lull, the southwest monsoon is rebounding in Bengaluru as many parts of the city received heavy rainfall for a short period late Monday evening. </p>.<p>While the South and West zones did not receive much rain, the East Zone and Yelahanka received heavy rainfall, according to data by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre (KSNDMC). </p>.<p>Heavy rains in a short period also resulted in waterlogging on Kamaraj Road and other areas.</p>.<p>Cloudy weather and winds continued through the day. </p>.<p>The rains caused mild waterlogging along the Kasturi Nagar down-ramp and in parts of KR Puram, but there was no traffic congestion, according to a senior traffic police officer. </p>.<p>There were also no traffic disruptions reported in North Bengaluru, the officer added. </p>.<p>The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Bengaluru city observatory recorded 1.9 mm of rainfall between 8.30 am and 8.30 pm. The HAL airport observatory recorded 2 mm. The Bengaluru Urban automatic weather station recorded 2 mm. </p>.<p>The IMD has forecast thunderstorms accompanied with gusty winds in the city over the next four days. </p>
