A City girl has made Bangalore proud by topping the list in the world in two subjects that she studied at Cambridge University.

Richa Chandru Bhavanam, daughter of retired IGP Chandrashekar, topped in Psychology and Sociology in the examinations conducted by Cambridge University November last year.

The teenager who appeared for the Cambridge International ‘A’ Level examination from the Centre of Learning, Bangalore, figures in the ‘Top of the World’ category. Over 1.5 million students worldwide appeared for these examinations.

Richa studied at the Centre for Learning, which is one of the more than 250 schools in India registered to offer Cambridge programmes and qualifications.

Rakesh Konjenbam, Schools Development Manager, India, said: “Cambridge qualifications develop independent learners, and prepare young people for success in their further studies and beyond.”

Richa who has achieved this rare distinction of being the global topper in both the subjects she appeared for, is now studying for her BA (Honours) in Philosophy at St Stephen’s College, New Delhi.
