<p>Bengaluru: A woman’s body, stuffed inside a trolley bag, was found near a railway bridge on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Wednesday, the police said.</p><p>Passersby alerted the police about a blue, torn trolley bag lying several metres from the Chandapura railway bridge near Hebbagodi in Bengaluru Rural district.</p><p>A senior police officer said the woman was likely aged between 18 and 20. There was no identification on her and no belongings were found nearby. </p><p>"Prima facie, it appears she was strangled and killed,” the officer said. "There were no other injuries on the body. Preliminary investigation suggests that the suspect(s) may have murdered her elsewhere, placed the body in the trolley bag, and thrown it from a moving train near the bridge.”</p>.Crimes, cybercrimes dip in Bengaluru in first quarter: Top cop .<p>The Surya City police visited the spot, conducted an inspection, and launched a probe. The body has been sent for autopsy.</p><p>A murder case has been registered, said CK Baba, Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru Rural. “Further investigation will reveal the motive and circumstances behind the murder.”</p><p>The jurisdictional police will also coordinate with railway police, if necessary, officers added.</p>
