<p>The high court on Friday granted interim stay on lower court proceedings and an FIR filed against cricketer Amit Mishra by a woman for allegedly abusing and assaulting her.</p>.<p>Mishra has approached the court seeking quashing of the FIR and said proceedings. The petitioner’s counsel, M S Shyam Sundar, contended that the complaint was a false one.</p>.<p>The 35-year-old woman, a resident of Bengaluru, claiming to be a Bollywood film producer, had filed a complaint with the Ashok Nagar police on September 25, 2015.</p>.<p>In the complaint, the woman said that When she mistakenly entered Mishra’s hotel room on the Residency Road, he reportedly abused and assaulted her.</p>.<p>Mishra was arrested and later released on bail.</p>
