<p>The high court has stayed construction on a 35-acre plot of government land at Mallasandra. </p>.<p>A division bench under Chief Justice Abhay S Oka gave the interim order on Tuesday on a PIL petition filed by Sri Muttumariyamma Trust, T Dasarahalli. The land was classified as <em>Kharab </em>land, meaning it's unfit for agriculture, the petitioner said, adding land sharks had grabbed it and the government failed to protect it.</p>.<p>The court ordered the BBMP chief to filed a report on December 12 after conducting a spot inspection and ensure no further construction. </p>
