<p>The members of Kudlu Gate, Haralur, Haralukunte, Somasundarapalya and Parangipalya (KHHSP) — a federation of the residents’ welfare associations — have claimed that the Karnataka Compost Development Corporation’s garbage recycling plant at HSR Layout had been processing trash far in excess of its installed capacity.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Addressing a press meet, the members said that while the installed capacity of the plant was 60 tonnes per day, around 150 tonnes of garbage was being recycled at the unit. <br /><br />Kamesh Rastogi, a member, said that many people living in the vicinity of the plant were suffering from skin diseases and breathing problems. <br />DH News Service<br /></p>
