<p> The Kannada Development Authority (KDA) has asked the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) authorities to make announcements in Kannada. <br /><br />Though Kannada display boards have been installed at the KIA, announcements are still being made just in English and Hindi.<br /><br />KDA president S G Siddaramaiah reviewed the use of Kannada at KIA on Thursday. He said the KIA website should also be in Kannada, besides English.<br /><br />Commenting on this, Hari Marar, president and executive director of Bangalore International Airport (BIAL), promised to take immediate steps to give information in Kannada.<br /><br />“We will give importance to Kannada in KIA and also set up Kannada learning centres within three months at the airport, where non-Kannadigas can learn the language. <br /><br />Actor and former KDA president Mukhyamantri Chandru, poet Siddalingaiah and others were present. <br /></p>
