Kejriwal in B'luru hospital for 10-day detoxification

Last Updated 22 June 2018, 18:01 IST

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal arrived at the Jindal Naturecure Institute on Tumakuru Road on Thursday night for a 10-day stay to undergo a detoxification process.

This is the third time Kejriwal is visiting the hospital after becoming the Delhi chief minister. He had come earlier along with anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare to undergo treatment for diabetes and chronic cough.

Dr Babina Nandakumar, joint chief medical officer at the institute, said Kejriwal's cough had subsided and his blood sugar levels were not bad either. "Kejriwal will be undergoing a complete detoxification process, which includes naturopathy treatment. His health will be monitored on a day-to-day basis. On Friday, he underwent certain tests and the reports are expected to be out only on Saturday, following which the line of treatment will be decided," Dr Babina added.

Kejriwal will be undergoing various treatments and his schedule at the institute would include morning walks, yoga, physiotherapy and attending lectures. He will be joined by his wife Sunita and will stay at the institute until June 30.
