The deputy commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Bengaluru region appeared before the Karnataka State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR) on Friday in connection with the sexual harassment of a student by a KV school principal.

P Devakumar appeared before the commission on behalf of the KVS Commissioner. He explained to the KSPCR chairperson the steps they had taken after the incident came to light, such as setting up an enquiry committee and suspending the principal. KSCPCR chairperson Kripa Alva was however not satisfied and summoned the KVS Commissioner to appear before KSPCR on February 25.
