A notice board at the counter says payments made through ATP after 3 pm will be accounted the next day. Whereas, the receipt obtained after making the payment has foot note - “If payment is made after 14 hours (2 pm) it will be accounted on next day”.

B V Srinivas, a resident of Ulsoor, asks,“Which information is right?”. Saturday was the last for Srinivas to pay the electric bill. Because it was a holiday he preferred to make the payment through ATP.

According to the receipt, he received, he processed the payment at 2.08 pm.

“I don’t know whether the money has been credited today. If not, I may have to pay fine for delayed payment,” he said. He walked up to Deccan Herald office to convey the confusion caused by the misleading notice board. He wanted the Bescom officials clarify the confusion.
