One held for selling ganja in City

Muruga, a resident of Anjanappa Garden, Mysore Road, was arrested by Cottonpet Police and 27 kg of marijuana was recovered from him recently.

The police, on a tip-off, arrested him when he was trying to sell the banned substance. Muruga had bought marijuana from Jaffer in Salem, Tamil  Nadu and was trying to sell it in City. Three other suspects —Mala, Arun Kumar and Appu Kutti are at large.

Mala was involved in the sale of marijuana thrice in the past and in two assault cases, the police added.
