Security guard hacked to death in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, DHNS: A 30-year-old security guard at a supermarket in Byatarayanapura was hacked to death by a delivery agent on Friday, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Bahadur. The incident unfolded around 6.30 pm. The suspect allegedly went in search of Bahadur to the warehouse of the supermarket where the latter worked.

“When he didn’t find Bahadur in the warehouse, he went to his house, which was in the same market premises. Bahadur was sleeping when the suspect attacked him and stabbed him with a knife,” an investigator said.

Bahadur was shifted to the hospital, but he was declared brought dead. Byatarayanapura police have taken up a murder case and have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
