<p>Bengaluru: Class 10 students with less than 75% attendance will not be allowed to appear even for the second and third SSLC examinations this year. </p>.<p>The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has issued a circular in this regard and informed school authorities that students with less than 75% attendance should get re-admission during the 2025-26 academic year.</p>.<p>During the March/April 2024 SSLC exam, the KSEAB had allowed students with less than 75% attendance to appear for the 2nd and 3rd exams.</p>.<p>"As there is a provision for re-admission, we have decided not to allow them even for the second and third exams if their attendance is less than 75%," said a senior official of the KSEAB, adding that they were following directions from the government. </p>.100% confident of SSLC results improving this year in Karnataka: Minister Madhu Bangarappa.<p>During the 2024 SSLC exams, there were over 15,000 students with a shortage of attendance. "Considering the number of students and following the government's directions, we provided them an opportunity to register as private candidates for the second and third exams, if they were above 15 years of age. As a result, over 8,000 students registered and around 2,000 passed," the official added.</p>.<p>KSEAB officials say that all the three exams are equal and the best score among the three will be considered for final results. "When this is the case, why should we allow those with shortage of attendance for the second and third exams," the senior KSEAB official asked.</p>.<p>In the circular, the board has asked school authorities not to upload the internal assessment (IA) scores of students with less than 75% attendance. The attendance needs to be calculated till the previous day of the first examination. All the information regarding those students will be frozen and admission tickets will not be generated.</p>.<p>This year's SSLC exams have been scheduled between March 21 and April 4. </p>
