The victim’s husband is recovering at a private hospital, said the police.<br /><br />According to the police, the couple had gone to a friend’s house at Marathalli and were heading back home when the incident occurred. <br /><br />Jyothi was tossed up in the air before she fell down and suffered major injuries as a truck from behind rammed their two-wheeler. <br /><br />Jyothi’s husband, the rider, was thrown to the other end of the road, the police said. They were taken to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared Jyothi dead on arrival, the police added.<br /><br />The truck driver is said to have abandoned the vehicle on the spot and fled.
