The BJP seems to have put the problems regarding the candidates for the Mysore-Kodagu and Hassan seats behind.

It was a show of bonhomie between Prathap Simha, the candidate for Mysore-Kodagu seat, and Vijayashankar, the former Mysore MP, on Thursday. Vijayashankar has agreed to be the party’s candidate from Hassan to take on former prime minister H D Deve Gowda of the JD(S).

He said “it is my prime duty to bow to the diktat of the party that gave me everything.” He hugged Simha before leaving for Hassan for a party meet.

Prathap Simha submitted his papers in four sets to Deputy Commissioner C Shikha, also the district electoral officer.
