<p>A bomb scare call to IT major Infosys in Mangalore that sent the police and employees into a tizzy turned out to be hoax today.<br /><br /></p>.<p>"We have verified the complaint that we received from Infosys office regarding the bomb threat call. It has turned out to be a false call," Assistant Commissioner of Police Mangalore Kavita BT told PTI.<br /><br />"We have been able to trace out that the call was made by a resident; investigation is on to find out the intention of the caller," she added.<br /><br />Confirming that the call was hoax, an Infosys spokesperson said "we had received bomb threat call, police has investigated and declared it to be hoax; campus was evacuated soon after receiving the call, but now things are back to normal."<br /><br />Infosys campus at Kottara in Mangalore earlier in the afternoon had received a bomb scare from an anonymous caller, following which bomb disposal and dog squads with police personnel were deployed to comb the entire area.</p>
