<p>Mysuru: The Deputy Director and Head of Akashvani Mysuru S Umesh said, "We can protect and develop our own mother tongue by learning and conserving Sanskrit."</p><p>He was delivering the presidential address, during the inaugural ceremony of the 10-day Sanskrit conversation camp organised by Kyathanahalli Sahukar Sidddalingaiah (KSS) Sanskrit Patashale of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Mahavidyapeetha (JSS MVP) on Vani Vilasa Road, Agrahara, in Mysuru, on Wednesday. </p><p>The Samskrutha Sambhashana Shibira is held for all those above 5th standards from April 2 to 11.</p><p>Umesh said that a good foundation of Sanskrit language will be helpful in learning any other language - both Indian and foreign languages. </p><p>"Sanskrit helps the learner to hone pronunciation skills. It sharpens pronunciation in any language. It will be beneficial, if one learns Sanskrit from young age. Reading out Sanskrit loudly makes one feel the vibrations. It has healing effects. Discuss about what you learnt in the school or college with your mother and other family members, while helping in the kitchen, while arranging for a lunch or dinner ad while having food." "Similarly take the knowledge of Sanskrit from the camp to your family and enrich yourself," he said.</p><p>Education Officer of JSS MVP Renuswamy, principal of JSS Sanskrit College K B Mallikarjuna, headmistress of patashale S L Komala and teacher Srikrishna Ganapathi Bhat were present.</p>
