<p class="bodytext">The body of Somashekar (40), a scientist with the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), who was washed away in Chunchanakatte falls, was retrieved on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">On Sunday, Somashekar, along with his wife and children had come to the falls on a picnic. Even as he was trying to take a selfie, the water level in the falls went up suddenly and he fell from a height of 30 feet. His body was retrieved with the help of fishermen and local people on Monday. The post-mortem was conducted at the taluk hospital and the body handed over to the relatives.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Somashekar hailed from Bagganahalli in Chikkanayakanahalli taluk of Tumakuru district and his parents reside in Chikkabanaswadi, Bengaluru.
