Chegu village residents withdraw poll boycott

The villagers of Chegu in Banakal in Mudigere taluk have withdrawn their decision to boycott Lok Sabha elections following an assurance from officials.

Tahsildar Padmanabha and Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Venkatesh visited the villagers on Tuesday and convinced them to withdraw their decision to boycott the election.

The officials promised to make arrangement to supply water and also improve the road connectivity.
