Chocolate Street held in Mangaluru

Nitte Institute of Communication (NICO) Chocolate Street, Mangaluru's first ever chocolate festival, was inaugurated at the Forum Fiza Mall recently. AGM of the chocolate division of Campco, Anita Jesuman, was the chief guest.

Anita Jesuman said that chocolates are important to keep people light and happy. "Although Mangaluru has major brands for ice creams, there is no such brands when it comes to chocolates. Therefore, it is a unique way to celebrate chocolates with a festival," she said.

Bakers and chocolate makers from all over Mangaluru came together for the city's first ever chocolate festival. Items such as chocolate panipuri, cake candy, brownies, chocolate milkshakes, cheesecakes, chocolate balls and cupcakes were among many other chocolatey treats offered by the participants.

Prasanna Hegde, deputy director of Nitte deemed to be University, Raviraj Kini, head of the department of Nitte Institute of communication (NICO), faculty coordinator Kiran Thingalaya and student coordinator Ryan Kenneth Pasanna were also present.
