CII to host Environmental, Social and Governance conference in Mysuru

Mysuru: At a time when felling of 40 well-grown trees in Mysuru,has become a topic of discussion, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is hosting an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) conference and expo on JSS Technical Institutions campus, in Mysuru, on April 23.

According to a press note from CII, the theme of the event is ‘Driving Sustainable Transformation: Aligning Business with Sustainability’. It aims to facilitate a dialogue and actionable insights on integrating ESG frameworks into core business strategies, operations, and governance models.

The conference will bring together industry leaders, sustainability professionals, academicians, and stakeholders, to explore cutting-edge trends and best practices in ESG. C G Betsurmath, executive secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha; A N Santosh Kumar, vice-chancellor, JSS STU; Sam Cherian, MD, Schevaran Laboratories; Nagaraja Gargeshwari, chairman, CII Mysuru zone; Sohanjeet Randhawa, director, (Sustainability and Communication), Volvo Group; and C P Ganapathy, senior regional head (Facility), Infosys; will take part in the inaugural session.

The event will focus on Decarbonising Industries: Pathways to Net-Zero Emissions and Resource Utilisation; Business Case for ESG Accounting – Growth, Risk and Compliance; ESG-readiness for small enterprises, sustainability certifications like ZED, Ecovadis compliance, AI-driven disclosure tools, and strategies to attract global opportunities; and Transforming Sustainability Journey – Beyond Net Zero and into the Value Chain.
