Congress MLA Yasir Pathan, four others booked for criminal trespass

Haveri: The Hangal police have booked Shiggaon Congress MLA Yasir Ahmed Khan Pathan and four others on charges of criminal trespass following the direction by a local court.

Fakeergouda Eranagouda Patil, a lawyer, had lodged a private complaint in the local court against Yasir Pathan, Maqbool Pathan, Survey department officer Y K Jagadish, ADLR Satyanarayanappa and taluk surveyor Manjunath Mulimani.

The complainant had alleged that the aforementioned persons, on June 5, 2025, gained a wrongful entry into his farm in the guise of measuring and fixing the boundaries of the adjacent 4 acres and 32 guntas land, that was bought by Pathan brothers in May 2017, at Halekote hobli in Hangal taluk, and chopped off mango trees and took them away.

The police have registered an FIR against Pathan and four others under BNS sections 3(5), 303 (1), 329 (3) and 324 (4).

Pathan was not available for comments on the case booked against him.
