<p>Bengaluru: Days after senior Congress leader <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/karnataka/karnataka-housing-allocation-graft-dk-shivakumar-refutes-corruption-charges-but-patil-stands-his-ground-3596840">BR Patil levelled corruption charges</a> against his own government, the ruling party faced another blow on Monday when Kagwad lawmaker Raju Kage said he wants to resign due to lack of developmental funds. </p>.<p>In a further indication of the rumblings and distrust within the ruling dispensation, Sagar Congress MLA Belur Gopalakrishna has asked Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan to resign in the wake of Patil’s allegation. </p>.<p>"Administration has completely collapsed. I'm hurt. I'm thinking of resigning. If I meet the chief minister in two days and resign, there shouldn’t be any surprise," Kage, who is also the North West Karnataka Transport Corporation chairperson, said.</p>.BJP latches on to B R Patil's charges, says it's 'state-sponsored corruption'.<p>"No work is happening," Kage rued. He said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had sanctioned special grants of Rs 25 crore. "This included Rs 12 crore for roads and Rs 13 crore for community halls. It’s been two years and we haven’t received work orders for 72 community halls that we want to take up," Kage, who has raised the issue of fund shortage earlier as well, said.</p>.<p>Kage’s outburst came just days after Patil, the Aland MLA, said public housing units are allocated in exchange for bribes. In fact, Kage seconded Patil. "What (Patil) said is true. I support him," he said. </p>.<p>Speaking in Kalaburagi, Patil said there are many MLAs who agree that not all is well in the administration.</p>.<p>Meanwhile, Gopalakrishna said Zameer should resign and allow a fair investigation into Patil’s allegation. "A senior MLA has made an accusation. It’s good if the minister resigns. We’ve seen ministers resign in connection with scams and they’ve been reinstated after being cleared," Gopalakrishna said. </p>.<p>Coincidentally, all three MLAs — Patil, Kage and Gopalakrishna — are ministerial aspirants. </p>.<p>Speaking to reporters in Raichur, Siddaramaiah said he would speak to the MLAs.
