In the process, the economy of the country has collapsed, he charged. <br /><br />Addressing Congress workers who staged a protest against demonetisation here on Saturday, he said most of the people are not able to get the cash they need even 50 days after the demonetisation move was announced. <br /><br />Kumar said the prime minister has taken the demonetisation move in haste. It has affected a vast number of people, he fumed and demanded the government to bring out a white paper on demonetisation.<br /><br />MLC Gayathri Shanthegowda said a large number of people continue to suffer as either they are not able to draw money or they are not able to get change.<br /><br />The demands of the Congress include withdrawal of limit on withdrawal of money in banks; payment of 18% interests to customers; cancellation of fee on digital transactions; payment of Rs 20,000 to a woman in every BPL family who suffered due to demonetisation; doubling of wages for a minimum period of one year under MGNREGS; special drive to identify those who could not get jobs after November 8 and payment to such people up to March 31; 50% concession on income tax and sales tax to small traders and the Centre should pay to states the loss incurred due to demonetisation move.<br /></p>
